Rome: Morocco’s Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) has been awarded the FAO’s Technical Excellence Award during the World Food Forum. This recognition highlights Morocco’s ongoing dedication to promoting South-South cooperation, focusing on sustainable agriculture and food security.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the award ceremony acknowledged AMCI in the “South-South and Triangular Cooperation” category. This honor is a testament to the agency’s efforts in strengthening collaboration among Global South countries and sharing expertise and innovative solutions.
AMCI collaborates with various national and international partners to enhance South-South and triangular cooperation. These efforts are part of Morocco’s commitment to implementing international cooperation projects aimed at supporting sustainable human development across multiple priority sectors.
The ceremony, held as part of FAO’s 80th anniversary celebrations, recognized global best practices and program excellence in facilitating knowledge exchange across six priority technical areas.
