Paris: The choice of Morocco as the first foreign guest of honor at the Paris Agricultural Show (SIA), held from February 22 to March 2, underscores the quality of both current and prospective cooperation between France and Morocco, French Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry Annie Genevard stated on Sunday.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Genevard emphasized the friendship between the two nations, declaring, “Morocco is a great friend of France.” Her remarks were made during the inauguration of the French pavilion at the show, which also saw the attendance of Morocco’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Ahmed El Bouari.
Genevard highlighted the significance of agricultural exchanges between the countries, which encompass imports and exports, as well as joint efforts in training, irrigation, and forestry management. She praised the quality of her discussions with El Bouari on various occasions, pointing to the Kingdom’s selection as a symbol of France-Morocco friendship.
The Moroccan pavilion, spanning 476 square meters, is hosted under the theme ‘Morocco, centuries of flavors’. It presents various facets of Moroccan authenticity and distinctiveness through cultural and artistic events, coupled with tastings of Moroccan products and dishes.
