Morocco’s Commitment to Palestinian Cause Highlighted on Throne Day


Rabat: In a statement to the press on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day celebrations, the Palestinian official emphasized that His Majesty the King has consistently reaffirmed Morocco’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its defense of the Holy City as a core element of the Kingdom’s diplomatic strategy.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, amid the current challenging circumstances surrounding the Palestinian issue, His Majesty the King reiterated in his 2024 Throne Speech Morocco’s steadfast stance in advocating for Palestinian rights. This position aligns with the Royal Vision, which prioritizes the Palestinian cause in Morocco’s foreign policy agenda.



Beyond political support, Morocco extends comprehensive assistance to Palestinians, particularly in healthcare, as highlighted by the deployment of a Moroccan medical-surgical field hospital in the Gaza Strip. The minister noted the execution of several humanitarian operations under High Royal Instructions, including the dispatch of medical and food aid to Gaza. The Bayt Mal Al-Qods Asharif Agency, the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty, has overseen the delivery of substantial aid to Palestinians, especially in Gaza, since the onset of Israeli aggression in October 2023.



This emergency humanitarian aid included the provision of food, medicine, and medical equipment, as well as distributing thousands of hot meals and food baskets, notably during Ramadan. Shahin also highlighted the Agency’s initiatives, such as the program supporting orphaned and injured children, benefiting hundreds.



In education, the minister mentioned scholarships provided by the Agency to students at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, along with a distance learning platform package to ensure uninterrupted education. The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency continued its development projects and cultural initiatives in Al-Quds and Gaza, committing over $2.2 million in the first half of 2025, underscoring its dedication to the Palestinian cause.
