Initialled by the President of the Council Ahmed Rahhou and the President of the Libyan Competition Authority Salama Gwil, this agreement aims to establish a formalized framework for exchanging data and expertise in relation to areas of common interest.
Rahhou told the press that this agreement is part of the second meeting of Arab competition operators, hosted by Rabat, stressing that the purpose is to ensure the support of the Libyan Authority in establishing appropriate rules in competition.
Rahhou highlighted the rich experience of his institution, which dates back more than 20 years, and which works to promote actions in favor of the competitive regulation of markets and fight against non-competitive practices.
For his part, Gwil said he was proud of the signing of this agreement, noting that the goal is to allow access to information by both institutions in their missions.
It is also to ensure support for establishing rules and practices to lay a solid foundation to ensure the proper functioning of the institution, he said.
This agreement was concluded on the sidelines of the Forum of the Arab Competition Network, to be held Wednesday in Rabat, and which will bring together all Arab competition operators.
