Washington: Morocco’s Embassy in the United States has launched a captivating celebration of Moroccan art, marked by the release of a new book and an art exhibition. This event showcases the richness and boldness of Morocco’s artistic scene, blending heritage with modernity.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the event took place on Tuesday evening at the Moroccan Embassy in Washington. It featured a distinguished gathering of cultural figures, diplomats, representatives from international institutions, and members of the Francophone community. The exhibition presented a curated selection of works from prominent Moroccan artists, including Chaïbia Talal, Hassan El Glaoui, Farid Belkahia, and others, highlighting the dynamic nature of Moroccan art at the intersection of memory and innovation.
The exhibition also included works by artists such as Noureddine Daifallah, Khalid El Bekay, Noureddine Chater, and several others, illustrating the technical diversity of Moroccan art. Morocco’s ambassador to the
United States, Youssef Amrani, emphasized the role of cultural diplomacy in uniting nations and noted that art serves as a universal language that transcends borders and fosters cultural dialogue.
Albert Ramdin, Secretary General of the Organization of American States, praised the initiative as a means of strengthening ties between the Americas and Africa. He highlighted the unique blend of tradition and modernity in Moroccan identity and called for increased cultural exchanges to promote peace and inclusion.
