Doha: On High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, FAR Inspector General and Commander of South Zone paid a working visit to Qatar from April 19 to 22.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the FAR Inspector General held a meeting on Sunday with his Qatari counterpart, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General, Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai. This was followed by a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Bin Hassan Al Thani. The discussions focused on ways to strengthen bilateral military cooperation, in accordance with the High Instructions of the Leaders of both countries, may God assist Them, according to a statement from the FAR General Staff.
During these discussions, both officials expressed their satisfaction with the military relations, characterized by the strength and mutual understanding, between the Kingd
om of Morocco and the brotherly State of Qatar. They welcomed the tangible results of this fruitful cooperation, which serves as a model of strategic partnership between the two countries.
On the same occasion, the FAR Inspector General and Commander of the South Zone visited several command centers and military units of the Qatari Armed Forces, including the Joint Forces Command, the Qatar’s Emiri Signal Corps and the Air Defense Forces. This visit, part of ongoing efforts to bolster bilateral military cooperation, provided an opportunity to explore ways to broaden the prospects of this partnership and extend it to other areas, in service of the shared interests of the Armed Forces of both countries, the statement concluded.
