Rabat: Enhancing bilateral cooperation was at the heart of talks between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the President of the Žle-de-France region, Val©rie P©cresse, in Rabat on Tuesday.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, P©cresse stated that Morocco will be the first country with which the Žle-de-France region would seal two cooperation agreements: one with the Casablanca-Settat region and the other with the Marrakech-Safi region. She noted that the Žle-de-France region has already invested one million euros in projects in Casablanca-Settat, emphasizing that her visit to Morocco will be an opportunity to inaugurate many of these achievements.
These projects cover areas such as digital training, training for non-graduate young people, particularly in the catering trade, and start-up incubators. Following her visit to Casablanca, P©cresse plans to travel to Marrakech to evaluate the post-earthquake support provided to the Al Haouz region and to sign a second partnership and cooperation agreement with the city.
P©cresse also emphasized that the future of the Southern provinces can only lie within the framework of Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara. Accompanied by a large delegation from the Žle-de-France Region (Paris area), the French official is visiting Morocco from April 21 to 24, with a focus on strengthening cooperation around three shared priorities: innovation, education, and sustainable development.
