Morocco’s FM Engages in Strategic Dialogues with African Counterparts in Addis Ababa


Addis ababa: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, engaged in talks with several African peers on Wednesday in Addis Ababa. The meetings were conducted on the sidelines of the 48th Ordinary Session of the African Union’s Executive Council.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the discussions involved foreign ministers from Ethiopia, Togo, Mauritius, Mauritania, Comoros, Somalia, Botswana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Ghana. The focus of these dialogues was to foster cooperation and strengthen diplomatic ties between Morocco and the African nations represented.

Morocco’s participation in the 48th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union is led by a delegation headed by Nasser Bourita. This session serves as a precursor to the 39th African Union Summit of Heads of State and Government, which is scheduled for February 14-15.
