Rabat: The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has welcomed FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s decision to withdraw the proposal for the FIFA Forward Enterprise project.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the progress made in recent years thanks to FIFA’s development programs, particularly in Africa, represents a valuable achievement to be preserved in the interest of all member associations, the FRMF emphasized in a press release issued Saturday.

In the face of disagreements sparked by a reform, despite its importance, the unity of the greater football family comes first, the same source adds. “FRMF President Fouzi Lekjaa commends FIFA President’s wise decision, as it promotes unity and cohesion among FIFA’s member associations through a participatory approach to the pursuit of football’s growth,” the press release notes.
