Morocco: Morocco’s Fath Union Sport (FUS) secured qualification for the final phase of the CAF Women’s Champions League on Monday after defeating Egypt’s FC Masar 3-1 at Bardo Stadium in Tunis on the third and final matchday of the North African Football Union (UNAF) qualifiers.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the qualification came after two other victories, against Algeria’s FC Akbou (4-0) on the opening matchday and Tunisia’s Association Sportive Féminine de Sousse (7-0) in the second match.

Speaking to MAP after the game, FUS coach Mehdi El Qaichouri welcomed his team’s deserved qualification for the CAF finals, describing the match against a “very technical” Masar side that was “very well organized tactically” and highly experienced as “really very delicate.” He nevertheless said that the FUS players were physically superior to their opponents in the second half and had put in a great deal of effort.

At the end of the match, the award for the best player of the qualifiers went to FUS’s Odette
Gnintegma, while the best goalkeeper award was presented to her teammate Hasnae Ouhatte. With this successful campaign, FUS joins defending champions AS FAR, who had already qualified automatically, to represent Morocco in the final phase of the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
