Morocco’s Lower House Speaker Engages in Talks with UAE Minister on Bilateral Relations


Rabat: Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami met Thursday in Rabat with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Noura bint Mohamed Al Kaabi, who is visiting Morocco on June 10 and 11. Discussions focused on the strong fraternal ties between leaders of the two countries, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the two sides also spoke of the special and multifaceted relations linking the two countries and their brotherly peoples. This meeting further provided an opportunity to discuss Morocco-UAE parliamentary ties, both bilaterally and multilaterally, as well as the parliamentary experience of both countries.

Progress made in areas of human rights and civil liberties was examined, with an emphasis on cooperation and the exchange of expertise and experiences, particularly on issues of mutual interest.
