Rabat: Morocco has been undergoing a profound structural transformation since the accession of HM King Mohammed VI to the Throne, thanks to the strategic and enlightened Vision of its Sovereign, said the director general of the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining (AIDSMO), Adil Al-Saqer.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this metamorphosis was not limited to cyclical economic growth but resulted in a deep and coherent structural change. Al-Saqer emphasized in an interview on the occasion of the Throne Day that the momentum arose through the establishment of an integrated and highly competitive industrial ecosystem, driven by efforts and rigorous strategies aligned with the High Royal Guidelines.

Al-Saqer noted Morocco’s success in the automotive and aeronautics industries, which helped the nation earn the trust of the world’s largest investors and adopt demanding standards in standardization and quality. This success has been paralleled by the development of moder
n logistics infrastructure. He also highlighted Morocco’s pioneering experience in energy transition and the sustained growth of the phosphate and fertilizer sector, which he described as a vital sector and fundamental pillar of food security.

Regarding Morocco’s investment environment, AIDSMO’s director general described it as appealing and simplified due to industrial acceleration zones. He observed that Morocco’s productive fabric has evolved from a simple assembly base to comprehensive and sustainable industrial ecosystems, strengthening the Kingdom’s competitiveness and balancing development between the national market and international export capacities.

Al-Saqer concluded that Morocco has emerged as an industrial and digital platform, building a bridge between the Arab, African, and European spaces.
