Bamako: The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Mali reaffirmed on Friday their commitment to giving new momentum to the strategic partnership between the two countries.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, during the 4th High Joint Commission for Morocco-Mali Cooperation held in Bamako, co-chaired by Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdoulaye Diop, both nations emphasized their shared dedication to enhancing economic, trade, and cooperation ties.

The meeting saw an in-depth review of bilateral cooperation across various sectors, with the ministers praising the strong bonds of brotherhood and friendship that unite Morocco and Mali. They expressed a shared commitment to making Morocco-Mali relations a model of intra-African cooperation, grounded in values of solidarity, respect, and sharing, aligning with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Mali’s Head of State, Army General Assimi Goita.

Both sides acknowledged the steady progress of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and the potential for expanding this partnership into priority sectors. The ministers reiterated their countries’ commitment to sharing expertise, highlighting recent technical missions aimed at enhancing cooperation in agriculture, energy, health, education, and training.

In the economic and trade domains, discussions focused on strengthening ties between Malian and Moroccan economic operators. The Business Forum held alongside the session identified new areas of mutual interest and agreed on actions to foster business relations between the two nations.

The parties also emphasized the importance of reinforcing the legal framework governing their cooperation by signing several agreements and committed to monitoring their implementation to solidify the special ties between Morocco and Mali.
