Rabat: Over the past two decades, Morocco, driven by the impetus of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has undergone a profound transformation that now serves as a source of inspiration for many African countries, according to Abdou Fall, a Senegalese expert and international consultant in sustainable development.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Fall remarked during the celebration of the glorious Throne Day that Morocco’s sustained progress is evident across a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure, industrialization, energy transition, agriculture, public administration modernization, social development, economic attractiveness, and diplomatic influence.

Thanks to these achievements, Morocco has established itself as one of Africa’s most structured, dynamic, and diversified economies. Major investments in road, rail, port, and airport infrastructure, as well as in energy, telecommunications, and logistics platforms, have significantly strengthened the competitiveness of the Moroccan economy while enhancing the Kingdom’s appeal to both domestic and international investors.

Fall, who has held several ministerial positions, stressed that this transformation is the result of implementing a long-term strategic vision built on several key pillars, including continuity in public policies, the role of the State as a strategic driver of development, investment in human capital, substantial infrastructure spending, the openness of the Moroccan economy, and a proactive economic diplomacy focused on the African continent.

Highlighting the African dimension of Morocco’s development approach, he said it contributes meaningfully to strengthening the continent’s economic integration. “Development is neither a miracle nor the product of chance. It is, above all, the result of a clear vision, sustained political commitment, strong institutions and a collective effort maintained over time,” Abdou Fall concluded.
