According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Nigeria extended their lead in the second half when Rapha«l Onyedika scored twice in quick succession, capitalizing on Uganda’s disadvantage after their goalkeeper was sent off. Onyedika’s goals came in the 62nd and 67th minutes, further solidifying Nigeria’s dominant position.

Uganda managed to score a late goal through Mato in the 74th minute, but Nigeria maintained their stronghold until the final whistle. With this victory, Nigeria finished at the top of Group C with three wins from three matches, while Uganda was eliminated from AFCON 2025 at the group stage.
