Nonstop Israeli air and artillery strikes inflict more civilian casualties across Gaza

Dozens of civilians were killed and many others were injured today in a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes, as well as artillery bombardments, on various locations across the Gaza Strip, according to local and media reports. In Gaza City, Israeli warplanes launched intense airstrikes on the Sahaba and Daraj neighborhoods, resulting in the deaths of as many as 20 civilians and injuring others. Some of the injured were transported to the Al Shifa Medical Complex, while others remain trapped under the rubble. In the Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, Israeli occupation forces bombarded three houses, leading to the murder of over 12 civilians and the injury of dozens, with ambulances facing extreme difficulties in retrieving the bodies due to the persisting Israeli shelling in the region. In the Al Zaytoun neighborhood, Israeli occupation forces bombarded at least four houses, resulting in approximately 15 civilian casualties and dozens of injuries, including children, women, and the elder ly. Additionally, at least four civilians were killed, and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the Sabra neighborhood, east of Gaza City, causing extensive destruction to homes. The neighborhood of Al-Rimal, west of Gaza City, is reportedly witnessing a widespread Israeli military invasion, accompanied by heavy rocket and artillery fire targeting residential buildings. There were reports of numerous casualties and injuries among the local Palestinian civilian population, accompanied by massive destruction to homes, apartments, and buildings in the area. Among the homes targeted by the Israeli bombardments in the neighborhood was the residence of the Abu Layla family, a two-story building, where a mother and her eight children were reportedly massacred, while the father and one daughter survived. In Khan Yunis, south of the enclave, two individuals were injured when Israeli warplanes targeted an ambulance near the European Hospital east of the city. The Khan Yunis province is currently facing e xtensive Israeli ground incursions for the sixth day in a row, accompanied by artillery shelling and airstrikes. Hundreds of families are evacuating towards the neighboring city of Rafah, most of them displaced from Gaza City and the northern province. Meantime, the Israeli occupation forces continued their large-scale arrest campaign of Palestinians in Gaza, detaining dozens of civilians, including a doctor. In the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army has been imposing a tight siege on the Jabalia refugee camp for the fifth consecutive day, amid intense rocket and artillery fire, resulting in the deaths of dozens of civilians and injuries to others. In Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes bombed three houses, resulting in the deaths of six civilians and injuring many. The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip has reached dire levels, with hundreds of thousands of displaced families facing a famine as a result of the lack of basic necessities such as food, water, and clothing. Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression, approximately 16,500 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, with over 42,000 injured.
