The Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, oversaw the meeting of the Interministerial Council on Monday morning, in the Great Hall at the headquarters of the Ministry for Finance, the Economy and Planning in Malabo II. The extraordinary call focused exclusively on the details of the Cleaning and Clearing Programme that is soon to begin in the city of Malabo and its outskirts.

This single-topic meeting, which brought together the members of the current Government, focused on one of the mandates issued at the last Council of Ministers by the Head of Government, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, on activities included within the Cleaning and Clearing Programme set to begin this week in the city of Malabo.

As on previous occasions, the programme will be implemented intensively for two consecutive weeks, during which the Government aims to improve the appearance of some areas of the capital and adjacent neighbourhoods.

To ensure the smooth running of the work, specific areas for the control and supervision of the cleaning and clearing activities have been assigned to the various ministerial departments of the Central State Administration.

Furthermore, as part of the Cleaning and Clearing Programme, the Prime Minister of the Government plans to meet the heads of private companies, public companies, autonomous bodies and State-owned companies and other economic operators to report on the work.
