The reputation of Morocco is no longer to be proven and its attractiveness is increasing thanks to all the incentives offered by the Kingdom, including the launch of the electronic visa, as well as all the efforts to promote and improve the traveler’s experience, Ammor said in an interview with MAP, praising the vigorous recovery of the national tourism sector.

“While all forecasts in the world, predicted a return to pre-crisis levels by 2023, we are pleased to see that the recovery rates for the summer season exceed 80% for the main indicators of the industry. For some, we have even approached a 100% recovery rate, especially in terms of tourist arrivals at border crossings,” she said.

3.2 million tourists visited Morocco since the beginning of the summer season, of which 2 million are Moroccans living abroad, i.e. 60% of the total.

Regarding earnings, the recovery rate of the sector is close to 80% with a return of 27.3 billion Dirhams for the first half of the year.

“Thanks to the lessons learned from the crisis, we now know what local and international tourists are waiting for,” the minister added. “Our country has all the tourist potential to become one of the world’s top destinations,” she said.
