Rabat: This legality is based on legitimate ties of allegiance and well-established, irrefutable historical facts, as well as the religious, cultural, and social symbiosis among the components of the nation, the party noted in a statement.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the resolution represents the culmination of the nation’s centuries-long struggle against occupation and foreign interference, its rejection of any form of partition or division, and its aspiration to achieve fruitful cooperation and joint action among the brotherly Maghreb peoples.

The statement praised the consistent and effective political and diplomatic efforts, carried out with wisdom and determination by His Majesty the King, in managing this strategic national issue.

These efforts, it adds, have been crowned by a series of successive international recognitions of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara, and have materialized in this historic resolution that enshrines the autonomy initiative within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty as the sole political solution to this conflict.

The PJD also highly commended the sustained action of all state institutions and the professionalism of Moroccan diplomacy at the UN and international levels, as well as the dynamism of parliamentary, partisan, and civil society diplomacy in promoting the national cause and thwarting all hostile maneuvers against the Kingdom.
