RNI Head Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to Stronger Social State


Tissa: Speaking during the ninth stage of the ‘Massar Al-Injazat’ communication tour, organized on Sunday by the party in the commune of Tissa (Taounate province), Akhannouch pointed out that over 4 million families now receive direct social support, ranging from MAD 500 to 1,200 per month, in addition to specific support for families with children, paid at the end of the month.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, he added that more than 4 million employees have benefited from salary increases in the public and private sectors, while 72,000 families now benefit from the housing assistance program.

The RNI president also said that Morocco’s economic growth continues to be close to 5% per year, while tourist numbers are expected to reach 20 million in 2025, bolstering the Kingdom’s position as one of the main investment destinations in Africa.

Regarding the agricultural sector, Akhannouch stated that the Fez-Meknes region, as a major agricultural hub, is experiencing a promising season this year, with o
live production expected to reach 2 million tons and a significant drop in olive oil prices.

With regard to water, he highlighted the importance of the M’Daz dam, which was completed ahead of schedule. This project will enable the irrigation of 10,000 hectares in the Saïs plain, with an additional 20,000 hectares planned, while specifying that 90% of the beneficiaries are small farmers.

The project has generated 400,000 days of work, will help create 10,000 jobs, and will increase agricultural income from 30,000 to 50,000 dirhams per hectare.

In terms of health, Akhannouch said that the local medical center in Bensouda (Fez) is ready to open, while the Ifrane day hospital will be inaugurated before the end of the year.

Concerning the industrial sector, investments in the Fez-Meknes region are expected to generate more than 19,000 jobs in the renewable energy, textile, aeronautics, and oil production sectors, which will improve the livelihood of residents and provide a stable income for more than 19,000 fa
milies, he explained.
