Rabat: Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is continuing the rollout of its point-to-point development strategy in the Kingdom’s northern region by offering passengers a dense and diversified network of connections between Morocco, Europe, and the rest of the world.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, following the launch of new direct routes linking Tetouan to Barcelona, M¡laga, and Madrid, as well as Casablanca to Bilbao and Alicante, three new direct and regular connections will link Tangier to M¡laga, Barcelona, and Madrid, according to a statement from RAM. The statement also notes that additional routes will connect Nador to Barcelona, Frankfurt, and Dsseldorf.
‘The launch of these new routes in northern Morocco, completing the opening of our air base in Tetouan, reflects RAM’s commitment to strengthening the Kingdom’s tourism appeal,’ said RAM Chairman and CEO Hamid Addou.
According to Addou, these strategic European routes respond to strong demand for connectivity and help reinforce economic, tourism, and human exchanges between Morocco and Europe. He stressed that they form part of the airline’s development plan, which aims to position Royal Air Maroc as a global carrier with a strengthened point-to-point network.
The company will link nine Spanish cities-Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, M¡laga, Seville, Las Palmas, Tenerife, Bilbao, and Alicante-to five Moroccan cities (Casablanca, Laayoune, Tangier, Tetouan, and Nador), offering more than 80 weekly frequencies.
In addition, three German cities, namely Frankfurt, Dsseldorf, and Munich, will be connected to three Moroccan cities (Casablanca, Nador, and Oujda), with more than 35 weekly frequencies.
This expansion strengthens RAM’s role as a strategic air bridge between Morocco and Europe by significantly enhancing the connectivity offered through the Casablanca hub, allowing passengers from European destinations to access the airline’s extensive African and international network.
Flights will be available starting February 10, 2026, on the company’s website, as well as through its call centers and agencies.
