Royal Guard Distributes 6,000 Daily Iftar Meals, Extends Aid to Flood-Affected Ksar El Kebir

Rabat: This Ramadan, the Royal Guard is overseeing the preparation and distribution of 150,000 fast-breaking meals provided by His Majesty the King to underprivileged families in various Moroccan cities.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the “Iftar Ramadan 1447-2026” operation is executed under the High Instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces. This initiative is carried out in coordination with local authorities at different distribution points.

The meals are distributed in the Prefecture of Rabat in areas such as Dar Es-Salam, Touargas, Souissi, Moulay Abdellah Oncology Hospital, and Avicenne Children’s Hospital. In the Prefecture of Sal©, distribution occurs in Kariat Oulad Moussa, Hay Essalam, and Maamoura, as stated by the Royal Guard.

The initiative also reaches underprivileged families in the Prefecture of Tangier, specifically in the Charf district; in the Province of Tetouan, in Hafat Rkina; in the Prefecture of Marrakech, in Mechouar; and in the Province of Khemisset, at the N’khilat Center, under the Commune of Rommani.

This year, His Majesty the King has expanded the humanitarian initiative to include the city of Ksar El-Kebir, aiding populations affected by recent floods in the region. In this context, 30,000 fast-breaking meals will be prepared and distributed by the Royal Guard during the holy month to support affected families, particularly in the neighborhoods of BelAbbas and Lamzouri.
