GAZA: Dozens of displaced civilians were killed and others were injured today in an Israeli shelling that targeted an UNRWA-run building sheltering the displaced in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The occupation targeted an UNRWA training center sheltering tens of thousands of displaced persons, causing scores of casualties.

The shelling caused the center to catch fire, killing and wounding dozens of people. The building was placed under a tight military siege for several days before its shelling, said sources.

Meanwhile, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PCRS) reported that Israeli forces are surrounding its crews inside its building and Al-Amal Hospital and imposed a curfew in their vicinity.

‘The Israeli occupation is surrounding Palestine Red Crescent teams inside the PRCS headquarters and Al-Amal Hospital in KhanYunis, enforcing restrictions on movement around both the building and the hospital,’ said the society on X platform.

Medical sources confirmed that the occupation isolated the Nasser
Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, which is in dire need of medical and food supplies and fuel, as it houses hundreds of injured and sick people.

He stressed that maternity cases are facing serious complications due to the siege.

Dozens of citizens were also killed and others were injured as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted the Omar bin Abdul-Aziz Mosque in the al-Tanour neighborhood in the city of Rafah.
