Manama: In line with Bahrain’s national efforts toward carbon neutrality, announced by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in observance of the National Tree Week, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Lulwa Al Awadhi, Acting Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), planted several trees.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this tree planting initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance environmental sustainability and promote green practices across the nation. The event underscores Bahrain’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality, aligning with the global push for environmental conservation and climate action.
The National Tree Week serves as a platform to encourage individuals and organizations to participate in tree planting and raise awareness about the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance. By involving key figures such as Lulwa Al Awadhi and institutions like the Supreme Council for Women,
