Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyad, has stressed that cybersecurity is among the most important international standards that all countries want to achieve.

The aim is to empower their governmental and private institutions by providing them with the latest security services and solutions to protect their official data from hacking, and to maintain competitiveness, growth and prosperity, in the midst of the growing digital economy environment, he explained.

While meeting André Pienaar, the Founder, CEO and Head of Investor Relations, at C5 Capital in London. Al-Moayyad indicated that the kingdom is embarking on several future fields, including space science, artificial intelligence, and the enhancement of cybersecurity.

He asserted that all these areas are managed by qualified national competencies, noting, at the same time, that the laws and regulations in force in the Kingdom are among the most advanced.

André Pienaar reviewed the latest developments in the field of cybersecurity, underlining the importance of applying all preventive safety standards from electronic attacks and taking measures in all important institutions that carry sensitive information. He also noted that the waves of electronic development and artificial intelligence are faster than expected, which requires caution in all technological practices.
