Colonial Israeli settlers, accompanied by a large bulldozer, uprooted dozens of olive, almond, and grape trees today in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Hassan Brejieh, a local activist, told WAFA that the settlers, with the assistance of heavy machinery, leveled approximately 15 dunums of land, uprooted around 100 olive, almond, and grape trees, and destroyed 15 beehives owned by members of the Salah family.
The destruction of trees by Israeli settlers not only impacts the livelihoods of local Palestinian farmers but also raises concerns about the continuous escalation of settler violence and its consequences on Palestinian agriculture.
