Manama, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, the Shura Council Chairman, received Alastair Long, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al Saleh commended the strong historical ties between Bahrain and the UK, highlighting the strategic partnerships in various domains.
He highlighted the interest of the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.
Al Saleh commended the diplomatic efforts of the British Embassy in Bahrain to strengthen relations between the two countries over the decades.
Furthermore, the Shura Chairman touched on Bahrain’s efforts to promote peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance.
For his part, the UK ambassador expressed pride in the historical Bahraini-British relations, emphasising the shared interest in strengthening parliamentary cooperation.
