Manama, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received a delegation from the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Jiangsu Province (JPPC), led by Zhang Baojuan, Vice Chairperson of the Committee.
The meeting discussed Bahrain’s development under the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which has solidified democratic governance and continuous advancement in various sectors.
Al Saleh reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships globally, transforming them into actionable agreements that serve political and economic interests. He praised the growing levels of diplomatic and economic collaboration between Bahrain and China, particularly in trade, and expressed hope for further cooperation to promote regional and global stability and development.

He underscored the Shura Council’s commitment to strengthening parliamentary relations to enhance cooperation in regional and international forums.
On her part, Baojuan commended Bahrain’s democratic progress and the role of its legislative authority and pride in the development of parliamentary relations between Bahrain and China and the mutual desire to further strengthen ties.
