Casablanca: In connection with reports on social media networks concerning the Sion Assidon case, and to enlighten public opinion on this case, the King’s Attorney General at the Casablanca Court of Appeal said in a press release that on August 11, 2025, two individuals reported to the police their employer’s absence from the workplace. Unable to reach him by phone, they headed to his home where his car was found parked in front of the house.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, members of the judicial police headed to the home of the individual in question, only to find him unconscious on a sofa on the ground floor but showing signs of life. He was immediately rushed to the hospital. After searching the home’s insides and surroundings, some of the individual’s personal belongings were retrieved, as well as a set of objects and books arranged in an orderly manner, with no signs of forced entry or disorder.
Footage from a surveillance camera installed in the same alley near his home revealed that the individual arrived on August 9 at 10:36 a.m., and after parking his vehicle, entered his home alone, dressed in the same clothes he was found unconscious in. Camera recordings confirm that until the arrival of the individuals who reported the incident and the police on August 11, the vehicle had remained parked in place.
Several specimens and biological traces were collected from different home objects and equipment in order to examine fingerprints and biological samples. Results unveiled the sole presence of the individual’s fingerprints. A worker in the terraced house who was questioned reported that the individual in question was pruning tree branches on a ladder on Saturday around 2:00 p.m. When he left his workplace around 5:00 p.m., the individual was still at work.
The owner of the neighboring house was also questioned. He stated that he had previously asked the individual in question to prune his garden. It was agreed that the task would be carried out on Saturday, and he confirmed having witnessed him carrying it out on that day.
