Rabat: Snowfall above 1,600 meters, heavy rain reaching 100 millimeters, and gusty winds are forecast from Wednesday to Saturday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, snowfall of between 15 and 30 centimeters is expected on Wednesday and Thursday in Taza, Guercif, Sefrou, Boulemane, and Midelt. The DGM issued an alert bulletin with an orange alert level for these areas. During the same period, Ifrane and Azilal will see snowfall of 10 to 15 cm, while snowfall ranging from 5 to 10 cm will occur in the provinces of Al Hoceima, Beni Mellal, Taroudant, Al Haouz, Tinghir, and Ouarzazate.
In addition, rainfall between 30 and 50 mm is expected on Wednesday and Thursday in several provinces, including Larache, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Al Hoceima, Tetouan, M’diq-Fnideq, Chefchaouen, Fahs Anjra, Tangier-Assilah, Ouezzane, Taounate, Sefrou, Ifrane, Taza, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, and Midelt.
Furthermore, rainfall ranging from 70 to 100 mm is forecast for Friday and Saturday in provinces such as Tangier, Tetouan, Larache, Kenitra, Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Ouezzane, Fahs Anjra, Taza, Taounate, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Meknes, Ifrane, Khenifra, Midelt, Beni Mellal, and Azilal, as reported by the DGM.
