Snowfall and Strong Winds Forecasted for Moroccan Provinces on Wednesday


Rabat: Snowfall ranging from 20 to 30 cm is expected in the Moroccan provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, and Midelt, while 5 to 10 cm of snowfall is anticipated in Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Taourirt, Figuig, Taza, Kh©nifra, Azilal, and B©ni Mellal. This weather event is forecasted to occur from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m., as indicated in an “orange” weather alert issued by the DGM.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, strong gusts of wind reaching speeds of 70-85 km/h are also expected to affect the provinces of Midelt, Jerada, Figuig, Nador, Driouch, and Boulemane. These gusty winds are forecasted to occur on Wednesday from 3 a.m. to 9 p.m., as noted by the same source.
