Three Individuals Arrested in Nador for Alleged Drug & Psychotropics Trafficking


Nador: Judicial Police in Nador managed on Wednesday, on the basis of precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), to arrest three individuals for their alleged involvement in a drug and psychotropic trafficking case.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the suspects, aged between 41 and 57, were arrested in flagrante delicto at the port of Beni Ensar, while preparing an international drug trafficking plot, according to a security source.



Investigations carried out as part of this case led to the seizure of 20 plastic containers filled with 375 kg of chira, as well as three fishing boats, a light vehicle, and a utility vehicle, all used to facilitate the criminal activities.



The same source added that the suspects have been placed in police custody pending a judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, with the aim of clarifying all the criminal acts and uncovering any possible local and international ramifications.
