Rabat: The tourism sector continues its growth momentum in 2025. By the end of July, with the arrival of 11.6 million tourists, an increase of 16% compared to 2024, foreign currency tourism revenues reached 67 billion dirhams. This represents an increase of nearly 13% compared to the same period in 2024, or a gain of 7.5 billion dirhams,’ the ministry said in a press release.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the month of July 2025 was particularly noteworthy, with 13 billion dirhams in tourism revenues, recording a significant 26% growth compared to July 2024.
Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy Fatim-Zahra Ammor stressed that this revenue growth reflects a tourism sector that is gaining in economic impact. She added: “The increase in tourist arrivals and investments in the tourism product are strengthening Morocco’s position as a high value-added destination. We are continuing our efforts to sustain this momentum.”
