Dubai, Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Transportation and Telecommunications Minister, participated in Dubai Airshow 2023, held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler.

The Minister affirmed the deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and the UAE, as well as the steady progress of their cooperation across various sectors, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

He indicated that the UAE has succeeded in organising and hosting international conferences and events, including the Dubai Airshow, which supports the growth of the aviation sector, and confirms the UAE’s leading position at the regional and international levels.

Minister Al Kaabi praised the efforts made by the organisers of the Dubai Air show, which is a distinguished platform for all aviation industry investors and stakeholders.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Al Kaabi met Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, the UAE Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the UAE Space Agency.

The two sides discussed ways to develop existing bilateral cooperation in the science and technology sectors, as well as in exchanging scientific expertise to achieve the goals of building a society whose members are aware of the importance of modern sciences for future generations.

Minister Al Kaabi also met Kamil Al Awadhi, the Regional Vice President of Africa and Middle East at the International Air Transport Association (IATA). He noted IATA’s pioneering role in regulating the air transport industry, praising its efforts to maintain the level of services for companies and customers.

He valued highly the existing cooperation between Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and IATA in holding international forums and joint workshops that contribute to exchanging expertise and discussing opportunities available for the aviation sector in the region.

The Minister also held meetings with the representatives of several Emirati and international companies participating in the Dubai Airshow 2023, which have strong relations with the Kingdom and provide various services to its aviation sector. He discussed with them ways to develop these relations.

Al Kaabi visited several companies to be updated about the latest developments in the aviation sector. He was briefed about the modern technology provided by these companies to contribute to serving the global travel and tourism sector, through the provision of an appropriate environment for safe and comfortable travel for all sectors.

It is worth noting that the biennial Dubai International Airshow is considered one of the most important trade exhibitions on the global scene, and is distinguished by the display of the latest civil and military aircraft.
