Upper House Speaker Represents King Mohammed VI at Inauguration of Omar Bongo Ondimba Congress Center


Libreville: Speaker of the House of Councillors Mohamed Ould Errachid represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the official inauguration of the “Omar Bongo Ondimba” Congress Center in Libreville’s City of Democracy. The event, which took place on Sunday, was attended by several Heads of State, foreign delegations, and representatives from diplomatic corps, alongside civilian and military dignitaries.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Ould Errachid conveyed the fraternal greetings and sincere congratulations of King Mohammed VI to Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema on the inauguration of the congress center. The building holds significant symbolic importance as it aims to strengthen Gabon’s institutional presence and reinforce its influence on both African and international stages.



Furthermore, Ould Errachid emphasized Morocco’s pride in its strong bonds of brotherhood, friendship, and cooperation with Gabon. He also reiterated King Mohammed VI’s commitment to working with the Gabonese president to enhance the partnership between the two nations, focusing on their common interests, development, stability, and African cooperation.



Accompanying Ould Errachid at the ceremony was His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to Gabon, Abdellah Sbihi.
