Sal©: The Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson of the Republic of C´te d’Ivoire, Amadou Coulibaly, on Wednesday in Sal©, praised Morocco’s leadership in South-South cooperation across various sectors.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Coulibaly emphasized Morocco’s commitment to South-South cooperation, particularly in areas such as banking, industrial, healthcare, and agriculture. He provided these remarks following his meeting with Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, on the sidelines of the 8th General Assembly of the Atlantic Federation of African Press Agencies (FAAPA).
Coulibaly highlighted the launch of the African Academy of Health Sciences in Dakhla, stating that this initiative allows African scientists and health experts to collaborate on developing solutions for the continent in research and investment.
The Ivorian minister noted the strong and longstanding relations between Morocco and C´te d’Ivoire, expressing his commitment to further strengthen ties in communication and media sectors through mutually beneficial cooperation agreements. During his meeting with Bensaid, Coulibaly announced the establishment of joint working teams to identify collaboration areas for formal agreements.
The 8th General Assembly of FAAPA, under the theme “African Press Agencies as Vehicle for Promoting the Continent’s Health Sovereignty,” focuses on enhancing Africa’s health sovereignty to better tackle future challenges. The meeting gathers Directors-General of several African press agencies, media, health experts, and prominent figures from various sectors.
The assembly also marks the 10th anniversary of FAAPA’s creation, offering a platform for discussing the future role of African press agencies in the 21st century, considering their diverse and unique attributes.
