Nairobi: French President Emmanuel Macron stated on Monday in Nairobi that the achievements of the Moroccan education system, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, provide an “extraordinary model” for the African continent.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Macron remarked that what Morocco has accomplished under the leadership of His Majesty the King is “an incredible revolution.” Speaking at the closing of the Africa Forward “Inspire and Connect” Business Forum, organized ahead of the “Africa Forward” Summit, he noted that primary, secondary, and university education in Morocco has yielded some of the best results at the French ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬°cole Polytechnique, representing “an extraordinary model” for the continent.
The French president also announced a significant investment of 23 billion euros for Africa, emphasizing that these investments “will create more than 250,000 direct jobs in France and in Africa.” Macron highlighted the interconnected destinies of Europe and Africa, asserting that Africa requires “investments” rather than public aid to fuel its growth.
The event, dubbed “Africa Forward: Inspire and Connect,” brought together over 1,500 economic decision-makers, investors, and public officials from Africa, France, and other countries. The forum focused on discussing major issues related to growth, investment, and the economic transformation of the continent.
The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, participated in the closing ceremony of the business forum. The event featured workshops, B2B meetings, and discussions that brought together leaders of major African and French companies, heads of small and medium-sized enterprises, young entrepreneurs, and representatives from the public sector.
