AUC Chair Hails Morocco’s Active Role in Promoting Peace & Regional Cooperation


Rabat: In a statement issued on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Kingdom’s Independence Day, Ali Youssouf also highlighted Morocco’s unwavering commitment to African integration and economic transformation. He recalled that this day commemorates the restoration of the Kingdom’s full sovereignty after a long struggle for the country’s liberation, emphasizing that the resilience and unity of the Moroccan people serve as a compelling example of Africa’s journey toward freedom.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the AUC Chair praised Morocco’s active involvement in fostering regional cooperation, noting that the country’s efforts have significantly contributed to peace and stability in the region. The statement further underlined Morocco’s dedication to facilitating economic growth and integration across the African continent, reflecting its leadership role in these areas.



Youssouf’s remarks come as Morocco celebrates a milestone in its history, marking seven decades since regaining independence. The statement serves as a reminder of the country’s historical achievements and ongoing contributions to the African continent.
