Nairobi: Heads of State and Government, along with regional and international organizations within the 4th Summit of the Congo Basin Climate Commission (CBCC) and the Blue Fund for the Congo Basin highly praised HM King Mohammed VI’s strategic Vision, that has laid the groundwork for the African action Summit for a continental collective rise.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, in the decisions adopted on Tuesday at the close of the Nairobi Summit, they reiterated the importance to pursue synergies among the three African Climate Commissions in line with the Strategic Royal Vision for joint African action in addressing climate and sustainable development challenges.
Morocco was behind the creation of the three African Climate Commissions during the African Action Summit held on the sidelines of COP22, at the behest of HM King Mohammed VI, namely the Congo Basin Climate Commission, the Climate Commission for the Sahel Region, and the African Island States Climate Commission.
Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch took part in this Summit, representing His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
