Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Education Minister, University of Bahrain (UoB) Board of Trustees Chairman, has affirmed the pivotal and vital role played by the heads of UoB’s academic departments, noting that these departments are the basis of the educational process at various higher education institutions.

The minister praised UoB’s Bahraini academic competencies, noting that the policy of UoB’s Board of Trustees depends largely on investing in the Bahraini academic competencies by preparing them in a distinguished manner to be part of the university’s academic leadership.

Dr. Juma pointed out that the UoB had recently appointed a number of heads of academic departments in various colleges, and was keen to select the best Bahraini competencies to assume the tasks of the academic departments, out of the belief of UoB and its Board of Trustees in their role in sustaining the university’s leadership and excellence.
