RAMALLAH: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates today strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli offensive against Al-Shifa Medical Complex and its surroundings for the sixth day in a row.
The Ministry said that the occupation is trying to destroy the entire hospital, kill hundreds of civilians and displaced people who sought refugee inside the Complex under false pretexts as part of their bloody deliberate targeting of all medical facilities in the Strip.
It said in a statement that the deliberate targeting of medical facilities comes as a “decisive manifestation of the genocide against the Palestinian people in the Strip and the creation of inhumane climates in order to displace them.”
The Ministry affirmed that the occupation aims to transform the entire Gaza Strip and its north in particular into an area unfit for human life.
It further denounced the consistent Israeli blocks of aid into the Gaza Strip, which resulted in a significant surge in the number of deaths and causalities due to famine,
thirst, and lack of medicines, especially among children, infants, women, the sick, and the elderly.
The Ministry expressed its deep concern and astonishment over the international community’s failure in truning their decisions into binding practical measures worthy of the status of humanity.
