HM the King Celebrates Royal Armed Forces’ 69th Anniversary with Special Address


Rabat: His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as the Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), delivered an Order of the Day to officers, non-commissioned officers, and privates on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the FAR’s creation. This event marks a significant moment of remembrance and appreciation for the efforts of the Armed Forces in maintaining the country’s security and integrity.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, King Mohammed VI’s address highlighted the historical significance of the FAR’s creation, tracing back to its founder, the late His Majesty Mohammed V, and his successor, King Hassan II, who played key roles in establishing and fortifying the Armed Forces. The King emphasized the importance of this anniversary as a milestone in Morocco’s history, expressing gratitude to the forces who continue to defend the nation with dedication.



The King extended his greetings and appreciation to all members of the Royal Armed Forces, including the Royal Gendarmerie, National Security, and Auxiliary Forces, particularly those stationed at the Moroccan Sahara and various borders. Their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the nation’s unity and security embodies the strong cohesion among Moroccans.



The address also acknowledged the military’s contributions beyond defense, especially in humanitarian efforts and disaster response. The Royal Armed Forces have consistently engaged in risk management and natural disaster interventions, showcasing expertise and efficiency in their operations, as per the King’s instructions.
