King Mohammed VI Sends Message to Moroccan Pilgrims Departing for Hajj


Rabat: His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, addressed a heartfelt message to the Moroccan pilgrims embarking on their spiritual journey to the Islamic holy sites for the Hajj pilgrimage in the year 1446 AH. The message was delivered by the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq, at the Rabat-Sal© airport during the departure of the first group of pilgrims.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, King Mohammed VI expressed his pleasure in addressing the pilgrims and congratulated them on the divine blessing that allowed them to perform the pilgrimage. He emphasized the importance of spiritual preparation alongside logistical arrangements, urging pilgrims to engage in patience, humility, and piety. He reminded them of the spiritual significance of Hajj and the promise of paradise for an accepted pilgrimage.



The King reiterated his commitment to safeguarding Islamic rituals, which include enabling the faithful to fulfill their religious duties. He highlighted the role of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in organizing and supporting the pilgrimage, ensuring that Moroccan pilgrims are well-prepared and receive necessary guidance throughout their journey.



King Mohammed VI also stressed the importance of embodying Islamic values such as tolerance, solidarity, and brotherhood during the Hajj. He encouraged pilgrims to represent Morocco positively, reflecting its rich civilization and adherence to the Maliki rite. The King urged them to pray for the prosperity, unity, and stability of Morocco, and to remember the royal family in their prayers.



He concluded his message by wishing the pilgrims a safe journey and an accepted Hajj, expressing his hope that their spiritual aspirations would be fulfilled. The King reminded them of the profound experience of visiting the Prophet’s Mosque and the significance of standing before the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
