Moroccan League and Justice Ministry Forge Alliance for Child Protection


Rabat: Her Highness Princess Lalla Zineb chaired a signing ceremony on Wednesday in Rabat for a partnership agreement between the Moroccan League for Child Protection (LMPE) and the Ministry of Justice. The agreement, signed by Her Highness Princess Lalla Zineb, President of the LMPE, and Abdellatif Ouahbi, Minister of Justice, aims to strengthen cooperation and partnership in protecting and upholding the rights of children deprived of a family environment, according to a press release from the League.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, under this agreement, both parties commit to joining efforts with a view to strengthening the fight against all forms of violence against children and women in vulnerable situations. To this end, the Ministry of Justice undertakes to support reception and care centers for children without families, oversee the training of the League personnel, and provide legal assistance to beneficiaries, in line with the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, aimed at implementing mechanisms for the protection and social integration of mothers and children in precarious conditions.



In an address on the occasion, HH Princess Lalla Zineb welcomed the Ministry’s continued support toward the LMPE’s institutions and its ongoing commitment to providing assistance and legal support to the targeted population. For his part, the Minister of Justice highlighted the ambitious vision led by Her Highness Princess Lalla Zineb to improve care conditions for children deprived of families and to safeguard their fundamental rights, in line with the spirit and provisions of the Kingdom’s Constitution and international conventions.
