Madrid: Speaking at a reception organized by the Moroccan Embassy in Madrid in honor of participants in the 3rd Africa Spain Summit, Benyaich underscored the Kingdom’s central role as a bridge between Africa and Europe, calling for stronger economic, political, and cultural synergies to jointly meet the challenges facing the African continent.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Morocco places Africa at the heart of its foreign policy. The diplomat highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to a united, integrated, and supportive Africa. She also mentioned His Majesty the King’s extensive outreach, having visited 30 African countries 52 times, and the Kingdom’s efforts to foster regional cooperation by signing over 1,000 agreements with African nations since 1999. Additionally, Morocco’s humane migration policy has regularized the situation of nearly 60,000 sub-Saharan nationals.
Benyaich emphasized the partnership between Morocco and Spain, noting that it opens numerous opportunities for Moroccan-Spanish-African cooperation, which serves as a strategic axis for stability and shared prosperity. This partnership was highlighted during the reception attended by influential figures from politics, diplomacy, and business, who gathered to recognize Africa’s significant role in international dynamics and Morocco’s pivotal position as a bridge between Spain and Africa.
Morocco’s role in the Africa Spain Summit reiterated its commitment to strengthening partnerships within Africa and between Africa and Europe. The summit provided a platform for constructive dialogue, fostering exchanges between decision-makers and opinion leaders on opportunities for South-South and North-South cooperation.
