Israel’s nonstop bombardment across Gaza claims five more lives

GAZA: Five more Palestinian civilians were murdered this evening as a result of Israeli airstrikes targeting Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and the Bureij refugee camp in the central province of the enclave.

Medical sources reported that four individuals were killed when Israeli warplanes targeted the vehicle they were traveling inside in the city of Rafah, in the farthest south of the territory.

In a separate incident, another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli airstrike while attempting to retrieve the body of one of the martyrs of a previous shelling in the Bureij refugee camp, located in the central Gaza Strip.

Simultaneously, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, in coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross, reported that it had evacuated five critically injured individuals from Al-Shifa Medical Complex to the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.

The society further stated that its teams also evacuated seven individuals, including four children, from Gaza City to t
he Rafah border crossing with Egypt. Among them were children awaiting reunification with their mother in Egypt, along with two other children and their mother.

In a preliminary toll, the ongoing Israeli war of genocide on Gaza has claimed the lives of approximately 24,927 individuals since October 7, with 62,388 others injured, the majority of whom are women and children.

Worse still, the aggression has resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly 2 million people from all of the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt-in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
