Rabat:Moroccan MPs underscored the significance of King Mohammed VI’s recent speech to Parliament, emphasizing its directives for advancing development projects and enhancing social and territorial justice to fulfill citizens’ aspirations.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the speech outlined the completion of advanced regionalization and administrative decentralization projects, reducing territorial disparities, and strengthening national sovereignty in key sectors. Deputies stressed the importance of legislative and oversight roles in supporting the Kingdom’s dynamic development.
Deputy Ahmed Touizi from the Authenticity and Modernity Party noted the speech’s guidelines for major strategic projects, including building strategic reserves of essential goods like energy, food, and medicine. Deputy Yassine Oukacha highlighted the moral commitment between deputies and citizens and the speech’s role in meeting constitutional and parliamentary duties.
Abdelkader El Kihel of the Istiqlali Group emphasized the focus on territorial empowerment and administrative decentralization. Deputy Abdellah Bouanou of the Justice and Development Party reiterated priorities such as achieving territorial equity and enhancing regional competencies.
Deputy Ilhame El Hassani El Alaoui stressed the responsibility of parliamentarians in supporting development and reform. Deputy Fadwa Rajwani of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces called for a sincere commitment to citizens, while Deputy Rachid Hamouni of the Progress and Socialism group highlighted the need to address social disparities and focus on employment and youth.
Deputy Abdelaziz Barik emphasized the role of advanced regionalization in development, and Deputy Nabila Mounib noted the speech’s focus on youth and spatial disparities. Parliamentary Councillor Khalihenna El Karch stressed the need for job creation and consolidating water and energy sovereignty in response to climate change and geopolitical tensions.
