Accra:According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Belgian Minister of State André Flahaut described the speech by HM King Mohammed VI as an “act of openness and dialogue with Morocco’s partner countries,” aimed at fostering stronger cooperation and mutual respect.
In his address, King Mohammed VI emphasized the importance of developing a renewed partnership with neighboring countries and European partners. This partnership should be based on a firm political will and voluntary commitment. Flahaut highlighted that the speech is particularly significant amidst ongoing migration tensions, advocating for addressing the issue with a focus on its human dimension.
The speech also underscores the King’s determination to promote cooperation that respects human dignity and is founded on clear principles, avoiding exploitation by interest groups or political parties. Flahaut noted the emphasis placed on the sovereign and voluntary nature of the partnership as essential to preventing the political exploitation of migration issues.
Additionally, Flahaut pointed out that the Royal Speech serves as a roadmap for Morocco’s priorities, which include consolidating economic and diplomatic achievements and pursuing institutional and social reforms. The speech advocates for reconciling economic growth with social and territorial justice and developing strategic infrastructure across various sectors.
The Belgian Minister of State further noted that the speech goes beyond reviewing past progress, emphasizing the continued need to build institutions responsive to citizens’ concerns, particularly those of young people, and to foster development that benefits all regions and communities.
