King Mohammed VI’s Speech Sets Strategic Directions for Morocco’s Future

Jakarta:According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the speech delivered by King Mohammed VI emphasizes the importance of building on Morocco’s achievements while outlining strategic directions for the future. Bruno Mve Ebang, a political science lecturer at Omar Bongo University in Libreville, described the speech as a roadmap for progress, addressing emerging challenges and adapting to changes in economic, social, and geopolitical landscapes.

The royal address calls for the development of strategies focusing on water, energy, food security, industrial growth, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence. Ebang highlighted that sovereignty now extends beyond territorial and diplomatic realms to include the state’s ability to maintain supply continuity amid global crises. The King urged the establishment of strategic reserves and encouraged the private sector to drive economic transformation through innovation, job creation, and foreign market expansion.

Additionally, the speech announced the upcoming presentation of a strategic migration vision, emphasizing co-development, economic competitiveness, and regional stability. This initiative builds on Morocco’s previous efforts, including the 2013 National Immigration and Asylum Policy, the 2018 Global Compact for Migration in Marrakech, and the African Migration Observatory in Rabat.
