New York:Kuwait has reaffirmed its support for Morocco’s autonomy initiative for its Southern Provinces during a session of the 4th Committee of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Kuwait welcomed the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 concerning the Moroccan Sahara. The Kuwaiti representative highlighted his country’s continued backing for the Moroccan autonomy plan.

The diplomat underscored the importance of ongoing negotiations conducted in good faith to facilitate a final political resolution. He also emphasized that achieving such a solution would enhance security and stability in the region.
